It’s a sure sign of the holiday season – the arrival of the Community Christmas Tree in the northeast quarter of Public Square.

Crews from the City of Galion were putting finishing touches on decorations on Monday morning, ensuring that the tree will be ready for Come Home to Galion festivities on Saturday, December 7. The tree lighting concludes the annual celebration in Uptowne Galion, which is scheduled to be bigger and better this year.

On Park Square, the newly repainted Santa House is all ready for the jolly man and his elves to greet local children, and the traditional banners have been hung on lightposts along Harding Way East and West.

As Galion’s and Crawford County’s only locally-owned, daily updated site for news and information, 1831Galion will have a full list of Come Home to Galion activities early next week and will be on hand to take photos on the big day.
