The Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce has shared details of the renewed Third Friday in Galion (TFIG) series, which begins its 2023 run on Friday, June 16.

TFIG provides an opportunity for the local community to gather and support local merchants, with food trucks and other vendors, live music, and other fun, family-friendly activities. Registered vendors will set-up in designated spaces around the Public Square in Uptowne Galion Retailers and restaurants in the area are encouraged to stay open late and offer sales and special deals.

“Third Fridays in Galion started six years ago with the goal of giving the community a reason to come out and really enjoy the variety of interesting and unique shops we have in Uptowne Galion,” says GCACC Executive Director Miranda Jones.

Jones adds, “We would like to thank First Federal Community Bank, Park National Bank, Firelands Federal Credit Union, and First Federal Bank of Ohio for their sponsorship and continued support of our TFIG events, and for helping to launch STIC in Crestline. These events require lot of ‘moving pieces,’ and we cannot thank our community sponsors enough for their investment in our community! We were also fortunate to be the recipients of grant funding this year, which allows us to bring more music and arts-related activities to our residents and our visitors!”

TFIG and the Second Thursday in Crestline series are made possible in part by state tax dollars allocated by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
