The Crawford County Art Center his a cornerstone for artistic expression and creativity. As the leaves change color and the crisp air of November sets in, the center has curated a series of workshops and events to engage and inspire the local community.
About Crawford Center for Arts
The Crawford Center for Arts stands proudly as the primary facility operated by the team. It is situated at 1810 East Mansfield Street on the Galion side of Bucyrus. Since its establishment in 2017, the center has been a beacon of art and creativity in the region. The guiding force behind this establishment is the Crawford County Arts Council, the governing board responsible for its stellar operations.
In 2017, a pivotal decision was made to lease additional space in a neighboring building. This move was instrumental in allowing the center to expand its offerings. With the added space, the facility has been able to introduce a wider range of classes, workshops, and teaching sessions for the community. Moreover, the inclusion of storage space and a dedicated gallery has amplified the center’s ability to showcase the unparalleled talent Crawford County has to offer. At its core, the center’s mission is clear: to initiate, support, and preserve top-tier art experiences that bolster Crawford County not just culturally, but also educationally and economically.
Partnerships, Support, & November Programs
The support received from various organizations and members of the community plays a significant role in the success of the Crawford Center for Arts, including from the Community Foundation for Crawford County and the Ohio Arts Council. Their contributions, along with membership donations, have been instrumental in ensuring the center’s growth and sustainability.
