The Galion Public Library is extending an open invitation to all adult residents of Crawford County and beyond to join its Adult Game Night on Monday, September 23 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the Community Room. This event is part of the library’s monthly tradition of bringing together game enthusiasts for a fun and relaxing evening. With snacks and refreshments provided, it’s a perfect opportunity for attendees to socialize, unwind, and enjoy a variety of games.
A Variety of Games to Enjoy
The evening offers a selection of games, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The game list includes:
- Rummy-O: A tile-based game that is popular among many for its engaging and strategic gameplay.
- Card Games: A variety of classic card games to challenge and entertain.
- Board Games: A selection of board games for those who prefer a more traditional game night experience.
What is Rummy-O?
For those unfamiliar with Rummy-O, this tile-based game shares many similarities with Rummikub. Designed for 2 to 4 players, it involves creating sets and runs using numbered tiles (1 to 13) in different colors, alongside two joker tiles that can substitute any number or color. The game’s objective is to be the first to eliminate all of your tiles by forming valid sets or runs. Players can manipulate the tiles already placed on the table to maximize their chances of winning, making it both fun and strategic. With some variations in house rules, Rummy-O is a flexible and enjoyable game for participants of all skill levels.

September’s Adult Game Night also presents a special opportunity for patrons to meet Jodie Jennings, the newly appointed Adult Services Coordinator at the Galion Public Library.
