Join the Band
The Galion Community Band is open to all area musicians, with a particular need for woodwind players. Last year’s ensemble included community members with experience in military bands and students from schools such as Galion, Crestline, Northmor, Colonel Crawford, and Clear Fork.
Organizer Brian Treisch expressed enthusiasm for this summer’s program, saying, “We hope to see a great turnout from students of surrounding schools to join with us to play a challenging summer program.” Those interested can reach out to Treisch at 419-566-5326 for more information.
Community Support
The band’s ongoing success is made possible by generous support from various community members and organizations, including:
- Galion Community Foundation
- Metronome Music
- Bill and Marilyn Stepro
- Schneider Funeral Home
- H. R. Wolf Hardware
- Galion Kiwanis
- Phil’s Deli
- Galion City Schools
Come Enjoy the Music
Both concerts are free to the public, with a free-will donation requested. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the performances in the beautiful outdoor setting of the church pavilion.
The Galion Community Band continues to be a testament to the power of community and music, providing a platform for local musicians to showcase their talents and bring joy to audiences of all ages.
