The new City Council in Galion will have new faces when it begins operation on January 1.
Former councilwoman Cathy George will join newcomer Brian Palmer and incumbent councilwoman Kara Ault as at-large members. The trio outpolled incumbent councilwoman Paula Durbin and newcomer Erik Miller. They will join ward councilmembers Carrie Zeger and Ken Bodkins, both of whom ran unopposed.
The race for Treasurer between two write-in candidates, as well as the write-in races for the third and second wards, were not called this evening.
Here are unofficial results for City of Galion races from the Crawford County Board of Elections:
- Cathy George – 1,197
- Brian Palmer – 1,135
- Kara Ault – 1,057
- Erik Miller – 981
- Paula Durbin – 808

UPDATED at 11:00 PM — The following were write-in totals as recognized by the Crawford County Board of Elections unofficial results:
- Treasurer — Roberta Wade 32, Morgan Bell 8
- Second Ward — Jessica Kemp 7
- Third Ward — Mike Richart 3
