Junior Zach Sallee anchored the Tigers’ defensive line this season with his relentless pursuit of opponents and ability to disrupt plays. Joining Sallee in receiving state recognition is junior Jacob Chambers, who earned a place on the All-Ohio Third Team. Senior Punter Allen Carver Honored with All-Ohio Mention
Senior Allen Carver, a dependable presence in the punting game, received an Honorable Mention for his performance. Averaging an impressive 35.79 yards per punt, Carver consistently provided the Tigers with crucial field position advantages. His efforts did not go unnoticed, and this honor serves as a fitting recognition of his contributions to the team’s success.
The Galion Tigers finished the regular season with a strong 7-3 record, demonstrating resilience and teamwork under challenging circumstances. Their playoff journey came to an end in a tightly contested game against Ottawa-Glandorf, with the Tigers falling 13-10 in the first round. Despite the loss, the team’s efforts throughout the season were commendable.
MOAC Rival Shines with Offensive Player of the Year Honor
Galionโs Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference (MOAC) rival, the Ontario Warriors, also made headlines. Bodpegn Miller of Ontario was named one of two Offensive Players of the Year for Division IV All-Ohio. Miller’s remarkable season highlighted the talent present in the MOAC and brought additional recognition to the conference.
