If you’re the type who finds joy in discovering hidden gems, unique antiques, or homemade crafts, then Galion’s Community Garage Sale & Flea Market is your summer destination. Held from August 7 through August 9 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day, the event coincides with the Lincoln Highway Buy-Way Sale, making Galion a must-stop along the historic route.
The Heart of the Sale
The event takes place at 200 W. Walnut St. in the Old Middle School lot, where vendors and shoppers will gather in a festive outdoor marketplace atmosphere. The site will come alive with rows of tables under canopies, brimming with everything from rustic décor and local produce to secondhand bargains and handcrafted goods. Food trucks will also be on hand to keep shoppers fueled for their treasure hunting.
Vendors Welcome – But Come Early
Vendor setup begins at 5:00 PM on August 6, with spaces available on a first come, first serve basis. Pricing is straightforward: $10 per day for a single vehicle setup or $15 per day for a vehicle and trailer. Those planning to sell all three days receive a $5 discount. All payments must be made in cash on the day of participation.
And while the deals may be plentiful, vendors should bring their own tables and canopies to prepare for the crowds. With the added traffic from the Lincoln Highway event, turnout is expected to be strong.
More Than Just a Sale
What makes this community-driven market even more meaningful is that all proceeds benefit the Galion History Center. So, whether you’re selling vintage vinyl records or shopping for farm-fresh produce, every transaction helps preserve Galion’s past for future generations.
