Junior Naturalists Stay Busy Through Summer And Beyond

The Crawford Park District’s Junior Naturalist Club has had a full summer, balancing fun and responsibility while lending a hand at a variety of community events. Between assisting with Nature Camp, serving food during Living History Days, and showcasing animals at the Animal Extravaganza, the group has been everywhere.

Looking Ahead to Fall Volunteering

The pace won’t slow down this fall. Junior Naturalists will take on new roles as scare actors during Haunted Headwaters, an annual evening event where half of the proceeds go directly to support the club. Members will also bring animals and lead activities at the Halloween Family Fun Night, continuing their tradition of combining education with community fun.

How to Get Involved

The club welcomes new members and volunteers who want to learn about nature while helping the community. Anyone interested can contact Naturalist Donald at [email protected] or call the Park Office at 419-683-9000 for details.
