A citizen’s sharp eye and a quick response from Galion officers stopped an attempted break-in at the First Federal Bank West night drop box on September 7. According to police, the incident unfolded just after 7:00 AM, when a resident reported suspicious activity outside the branch on Bucyrus Road. Officers rushed to the scene and spotted a vehicle fleeing at high speed.

An extensive search followed, with help from the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. All four suspects were located and taken into custody.
