Maple syrup lovers, get ready to experience the sweet taste of spring! The 2025 Ohio Maple Madness Tour is set to take place in early March, offering a drive-it-yourself adventure to nearly 40 sugarhouses across Northeast Ohio.
Galion area maple lovers take note that three Richland County sugarhouses with easy driving distance will open their doors, giving visitors an up-close look at the fascinating process of making maple syrup.
The self-guided tour provides a unique opportunity to see how Ohio’s maple producers turn tree sap into golden syrup, with live demonstrations, interactive experiences, and plenty of delicious samples along the way.
Richland County Sugarhouse Stops
🔸 Maple Valley Sugarhouse at Cherrycreek Farm
📍 410 West Kochheiser Rd, Bellville
📅 Open March 1 & 8, 10 AM – 4 PM
Experience maple syrup production on a 6th-generation century farm using a wood-fired evaporator and reverse osmosis. With 600 taps on a gravity tubing system, visitors can explore the collection process and enjoy farm-fresh maple syrup and baked goods. 🔸 Dolce’s Sugar Shack

A pancake and sausage breakfast served with their very own maple syrup kicks off the experience at Dolce’s Sugar Shack.
