The Galion Public Library has announced an exciting opportunity for the position of Adult Services Coordinator. This full-time role, offering 35 hours per week with some flexibility in working hours, is perfect for a creative and sociable individual who enjoys working directly with the public.
Responsibilities of the Role
The responsibilities for this position are varied and include developing engaging programs for adults, creating eye-catching displays, assisting with basic circulation tasks, and performing other duties as required.
Candidate Qualifications
The library is seeking an ideal candidate with the following qualifications:
- Excellent Communication Skills: The candidate should be proficient in communicating effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Computer Proficiency: Adeptness at using various software and digital tools is a must.
- Physical Stamina: The candidate should be capable of standing at a desk for extended periods and lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs, which includes program materials, tables, and chairs.
- Creative Experience: Prior experience with displays, newsletters, social media, and graphic arts is highly desired.
- Education: A college education is preferred but not required.
- Background Check: The candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check.
