As winter fades and spring approaches, the Galion Public Library is offering new opportunities for community members to grow their digital skills and build meaningful connections.
Get One-on-One Tech Support with March’s 1:1 Appointments
Feeling overwhelmed by digital tools that seem essential for modern life? Community members are not alone. This March, the Galion Public Library is offering personalized technology assistance through one-on-one appointments with their knowledgeable staff.
Whether residents are college students struggling with formatting a research paper, pastors creating digital materials for their congregation, or job-seekers updating their resume for today’s digital workplace, expert help is available. Sessions will be conducted by Jodie, the library’s adult programming coordinator, and Nathan, their technology professional—sometimes both, depending on specific needs.
Appointments are available on March 3rd, 5th, 24th, and 31, with one-hour slots beginning at either 1:30 PM or 3:00 PM. The service is open to all adult community members (18+) from Crawford County and beyond.
To secure a spot, interested individuals can access the sign-up form through several convenient options:
- Scan the QR code on the programming calendar available at the circulation desk
- Visit the library’s social media bio
- Check the pinned link on their Linktree
- Pick up a paper application at the circulation desk
Connect Virtually at Yap Club’s Zoom Edition
For those looking for meaningful conversation and community connections, the library’s new Yap Club is going virtual for its March meeting.
On Wednesday, March 5th, from 6-8 PM, adults (ages 17+) are invited to join this virtual social gathering via Zoom. The program is designed to foster community building and meaningful connections among participants. Younger community members (16 and under) are welcome to attend when accompanied by an adult.
During the session, the Adult Programming Coordinator will provide three conversation-starting words to spark engaging discussions. Supervision will ensure all conversations remain appropriate and respectful, creating a safe space for everyone.
This monthly program aims to become a regular fixture in the community’s social calendar. To join the Zoom meeting, participants can access the link through the library’s social media LinkTree in their bio, or scan the QR code on the programming calendar available at the circulation desk.
The Galion Public Library continues its tradition of responding to community needs with these innovative programs. For more information on these or other library services, individuals may visit the circulation desk, check their social media platforms, or call 419.468.3203.
