Galion students made an impressive showing at the MOESC Artapalooza 2024, held at the Mid Ohio Educational Service Center at 890 West Fourth Street in Mansfield. With over 3,000 pieces of art on display from 20 area schools, this event was a feast for the eyes and a testament to the creativity of our local youth.
Stellar Representation at Artapalooza
Artapalooza 2024 showcased a diverse array of artwork from students of all ages, and Galion students were well-represented. A special congratulations goes out to Ava Ball, a 12th grader, who won Best of Show, and to the other students from Galion who received recognition for their outstanding work.
Award Winners
Here are the Galion students who earned awards at Artapalooza:
- Best of Show: Ava Ball (12th grade)
- Honorable Mention: Ava Stowers (10th grade), Ashley Franks (10th grade)
- Middle School Division 2nd Place: Alyssa Hunt (8th grade)
- Outstanding Artist: Natalie Lewis (3rd grade), Abigail Shifley (5th grade), Audey Hetzel (5th grade)
- Budding Artist: Blaine Franks (2nd grade), Makhielyn Swango (1st grade), Weston Goldsmith (kindergarten)
These talented students are a credit to the Galion School District, demonstrating creativity and skill across a range of mediums.
High School Art Show Coming Soon
If you missed Artapalooza this year, there’s still a chance to see some fantastic artwork from Galion High School students. On Sunday, May 5, Galion High School will host its own art show, starting at 3:30 P.M., where spectators can enjoy the work of high school artists.
