Galion 1, Vermilion 0
After a scoreless first half, Lila Pierce drew a penalty while attempting to round the Vermilion goalkeeper in the 49th minute. Senior Bella Ice converted the ensuing penalty kick, and Galion’s defense protected the lead through a late Vermilion surge. The Division IV sectional victory was only the second postseason win in program history. Galion improved to 9-6-3, guaranteeing the Tigers’ first winning season, and will visit top-seeded Clear Fork at 2:00 PM Saturday for the sectional championship. Updated MaxPreps recap Yahoo Sports
