The Galion YMCA has announced the start of registration for its Fall Youth Soccer Program, beginning Monday, July 22. This popular program is designed for boys and girls from kindergarten through 6th grade, providing a fun and educational environment to learn and play soccer.
Focusing on Fundamentals and Fun
The youth soccer program emphasizes the importance of fundamentals and having fun. It aims to create an enjoyable experience for all participants, regardless of skill level. Teams will practice weekly, with games scheduled for Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, ensuring a balance between training and real-game experience.
Age Groups and Schedule
The program is divided into three age groups to ensure age-appropriate instruction and competition:
- Kindergarten to 1st grade
- 2nd to 3rd grade
- 4th to 6th grade
The season will run from August 26 to October 19, offering a well-rounded soccer experience over several weeks.
Volunteer Coaches Needed
The YMCA is calling for volunteer coaches to help lead the teams. Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of the program, providing guidance and mentorship to young players. This is a fantastic opportunity for parents and community members to get involved and make a positive impact on the children’s sporting journey.
Affordable Fees
The program is committed to being accessible to all. The fee for YMCA members is $25, while non-members can join for $50. This affordable pricing ensures that as many children as possible can participate and benefit from the program.
