United Way of North Central Ohio (UWNCO) is proud to announce it has been awarded a Legacy of Caring grant from the Westfield Insurance Foundation. The award was made possible through a nomination by Dostal & Kirk, a top-tier Westfield agency partner and long-standing champion of UWNCO’s community initiatives.
Dostal & Kirk has an office at 102 Harding Way West, Suite 100 in Galion.
The Legacy of Caring program invites Westfield’s leading independent insurance agencies to nominate local nonprofits for funding, with emphasis on organizations working to help families overcome multiple barriers to stability and recovery, including education, affordable housing, workforce development, and financial literacy. Since 2015, the program has donated more than five million dollars to 585 nonprofits.
“When Westfield gave our team the opportunity to apply for the Legacy of Caring program, it was a privilege to recommend United Way of North Central Ohio as our nonprofit recipient,” said Evan Geyer, office manager at Dostal & Kirk. “We’ve seen firsthand the impact United Way makes in the community, and we thank Westfield for their generosity in helping us support their work.”
“Our community partners are the backbone of our collective impact model, and we are very grateful to Dostal & Kirk for their continued support and advocacy,” said Natalie Longmeier, UWNCO CEO. “This investment from Westfield Insurance Foundation is a great way to kick off our new campaign year.”
The grant will help fund UWNCO’s strategic community impact investments, supporting local organizations working to build strong communities filled with successful children, healthy families, and self-sufficient residents.
