1831Galion has opened a new door into its newsroom. A new feature called Partyline now allows readers to submit photographs, news tips, community updates, and unexpected local moments directly from a phone, tablet, or computer. The idea is simple. When something is happening in your neighborhood, at a school event, along a busy road, inside a local business, or anywhere else across the Galion area, you now have an easy way to tell us about it.
Built For The Moments We Cannot Always Reach
No local news organization can be everywhere at once. Graduations, scout ceremonies, neighborhood gatherings, community celebrations, unusual weather, road problems, lost pets, striking sunsets, and breaking events can unfold anywhere and at any time.
Partyline gives readers a way to help 1831Galion see more of those moments. A submission can include one or more photographs, a headline, and a description of what happened. Readers may also save an unfinished submission and return to it later. The Partyline page can be installed on a phone’s home screen, making it easy to open whenever something worth sharing appears. The ability to send directly via text is coming soon.

Partyline is intended for news tips, photographs, and community information, not free business advertising. More Voices, More Local Stories
Some of the most interesting local stories begin with a reader noticing something. It may be a photograph from a parade, a tip about a new business, a moment from a school program, a community event that deserves wider attention, or something unusual that simply makes people smile. Partyline lowers the barrier between seeing something and sharing it.
It also gives 1831Galion another way to expand its coverage while remaining focused on the people, places, and events that make our part of Ohio distinctive. What else would you expect from the only news medium that rejects the idea of making you pay for access?
