As the Rite Aid bankruptcy wends its way, lists of store closures have become somewhat routine. Some of those have recently included Ohio locations among the 500 or so already announced for closing.
The Rite Aid in Mount Gilead closed on November 30 of last year, but to date the stores in Galion, Crestline, Mansfield, Lexington, and Shelby remain open.
That said, a number of recent social media comments, including from those associated with the process, have shared words of concern about Galion’s Harding Way West location. One such person, who said they are connected with another drug store chain which would possibly be receiving prescriptions from closed Mansfield area Rite Aids, claims that all but four Rite Aids in Ohio will be closing.
The only one remaining open in the area, the commenter noted, will be in Ashland.
Of course, it should be noted that the Harding Way West location has not been put on any closure list to date. The latest closure list came out this past week, which had the following Ohio stores listed:
- Alliance, 1895 W. State St.
- Ashtabula, 2148 Lake Ave.
- Bowling Green, 722-740 S. Main St.
- Cleveland, 3402 Clark Ave.
- Coshocton, 218 Chestnut St.
- Defiance, 1816 E 2nd St.
- Massillon – 242 Lincoln Way West
- Oregon – 3362 Navarre Ave.
- Saint Marys, 1502 Executive Drive
- Springfield, 1805 S. Limestone St.
- Tiffin, 530 W. Market St.
- Toledo, 2434 W. Laskey Road
- Warren, 1560 Parkman Road NW
- Wheelersburg, 8130 River Road
- Youngstown, 3527 Canfield Road
