The following activities and events are coming to the Galion Public Library during the first two weeks of May. For additional information on any of the following, contact the Library at: 419.468.3203.

Monday, May 3

  • Caffeinated Cards: 2:00 PM – Card and coffee lovers unite! Join us once a month at Three Bean Coffee House from 2PM to 4PM for card games! Ages 18+. Games being played will be decided together as a group, separate groups will be made if there is a split decision!

Wednesday, May 5 – Friday, May 7

  • Tentative Book Sale dates – The Friends of the Library will be holding their used book sale.

Thursday, May 6

  • Needleworking Club: 12:00 PM – All types of needleworking and skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own supplies. Monday – 12:00PM to 2:00PM – Community Room Tuesday – 6:00PM to 8:00PM – Board Room
  • Teen Anime Club: 6:30 PM – Individuals in grades 6-12 are invited to join us as we watch and discuss new anime and manga. No registration is required.

Friday, May 7

  • Galion Bridge Club: 12:30 PM – Every Wednesday from 12:30PM to 3:30PM! Want to learn how to play bridge? This is your group! Come and spectate.
  • Bridge is a trick-taking card game using a standard 52-card deck.
  • Junior D&D: 2:30 PM – Individuals ages 9 – 12 are invited to join us for Dungeons and Dragons on the 2nd Wednesday of the month! Sign is required in person and parents have to sign a permission slip. Game starts at 4:30pm and ends at 6:30pm.
  • Dice and character will be provided if needed. Snacks and drinks will be available.
  • Coffee & Coloring: 3:00 PM – From 2PM-3PM please join us at 3 Bean Coffee House for an hour of cozy coloring and drinks! All ages are welcome! We have both simple and complex coloring pages available. The only cost to you is your drink of choice. We hope to see you there. This event happens monthly on every 2nd Wednesday.
  • Friends of the Library: 5:30 PM – The Friends of the Library will meet in the Community Room.

Saturday, May 8

  • Lego Club: 4:30 PM – Children and teens of all ages (and their families) are invited to drop in and build. No registration is required.
