Galion Community Theatre is becoming hysterical!

GCT’s performance of “The Play That Goes Wrong” opens on Friday, February 17. With a show that’s designed to fail, get ready for a night of uncontrollable laughter and concern for the actors’ wellbeing. (They’re having fun and feel very safe- we promise.)

This show features an unconscious leading lady, a corpse who can’t play dead, a ruffled detective, and a word-mangling butler (among others) who must battle against technical gaffes, forgotten lines, and sabotaging scenery in a quest to arrive all in one piece at the final curtain call.

From director Rachel Jarvis, “this production has been one of the most enjoyable and nerve wracking experiences of my life. I am so grateful to have an amazing cast and crew who are up for truly anything this show throws at them. Our audiences are sure to enjoy everything about this play from scrambled lines to missed sound cues to falling set walls.”

“The Play That Goes Wrong” is presented by Crossroads Original Designs with contributions from Galion Building and Loan and is made possible in part by state tax dollars allocated by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
