Preserving Galion, Inc. invites you to join the community on Sunday, October 9 at 2:00 PM for a special edition of the organization’s Galion History Conversations.

This month, the topic is the life and legacy of Galion historian Dr. Bernard M. Mansfield. Dr. Mansfield was known to generations of Galionites as the community’s chronicler of its past.

Through his column “Your Historical Galion,” published in the Galion Inquirer for almost twenty years; his “Photo Album” series which showcased views of Galion’s past; his work in establishing and guiding the Galion Historical Society; and his support shared for future historians of the community, Doctor Mansfield was a one-of-a-kind supporter of Galion’s shared heritage.

Dr. Mansfield would have turned 100 years old this past June, and this event is honoring that fact by providing an opportunity to share stories and memories of the man.

You are invited to join at the Gill House for this opportunity to say “thank you” once again.
