Avita Health is offering supportive, small group programs to connect with other parents, grandparents, and caregivers in the form of parenting workshops.

These workshops are for adults only, and are completely free to attend. All will take on Wednesdays, with a light dinner starting at 5:15 PM in the Lobby Conference Room at Avita Galion Hospital, 269 Portland Way South.

The last workshop on February 15 will take place in the small dining room.

Transportation assistance is available, and there will be raffle prizes for attendees. The schedule of workshops is as follows:

  • January 18 – 5:30-7:30 PM: Dealing with Disobedience
Get tips on how to get kids to listen and follow directions—and what to do when they don’t.
  • January 25 – 5:30-7:30 PM: Developing Good Bedtime Routines
Get advice on getting your kid to go to bed—and staying there.
  • February 1 – 5:30-7:30 PM: Managing Fighting and Aggression
Learn strategies for teaching kids to solve problems and get along with others.
