Every two years, during the month of January following a city general election, Galion City Council begins a new two-year term by holding an organizational meeting.
This year’s meeting will take place on Tuesday evening, January 9.
Three of the seven Council seats will be occupied by new faces this year, although one of them, Cathy George, has had a previous opportunity to serve in the role. George will be joined as an at-large council member by newcomer Brian Palmer. Jessica Kemp-Mercurio will be occupying the Second Ward seat.
