The Crawford Park District is on the hunt for a full-time naturalist to engage in education, animal care, marketing, and program development.

According to the CPD website, they are specifically looking for an outgoing and energetic individual to work with local educators, lead outreach programs, develop public programs, and much more.

As a full-time position, the Naturalist at the CPD will receive health care and other benefits. A bachelors or associates degree in the field of environmental education is required, or at least five years of full-time experience in a related field.

Deadline for submitting inquiries is September 23.

September programming begins at the Park District this Saturday, September 10 as cecidologist (gall scientist) Timothy Frey leads a walk through the prairie and woodland at Unger Park. Meet at 2 PM to learn about the fascinating world of galls and the organisms that form them.
