The American Red Cross has put out a plea for blood donation, and they have made the process as easy as possible.

To that end, there are four local donation opportunities during the month of February, beginning with today at Northmor High School. Those donation times and places are as follows:

  • Thursday, February 9 from 8 AM to 2 PM – Northmor High School
  • Tuesday, February 14 from 10 AM to 4 PM – Galion Alliance Church, 430 Portland Way North
  • Thursday, February 16 from 7 AM to 1 PM – Colonel Crawford High School
  • Thursday, February 23 from 1 PM to 6 PM – Community Christian Church, 6195 State Route 19

Complete information about these donation opportunities, as well as complete details on the blood giving process, can be found here.

Blood donation helps patients of all ages, accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds someone in the United States needs blood.

As an added incentive for the current round of donation opportunities, all presenting donors will be entered to win an overnight stay at The Hilton at Easton.
