The Galion Public Library is preparing to become a hub of holiday cheer during the much-awaited “Come Home to Galion” on December 2. The Library has announced an array of festive activities, promising an enchanting experience for visitors of all ages. With the event just around the corner, the library is all set to open its doors wide, welcoming the community to a celebration filled with warmth, music, and holiday magic.

A Winter Wonderland with Carriage Rides and Sweet Treats

Outside the library, the Pine Acres Carriage Service, LLC, will offer scenic carriage rides, adding a touch of old-world charm to the winter festivities. The air will be sweetened by the aroma of freshly baked cookies from the much-loved local bakery, Cake & Icing. In a cozy corner upstairs, volunteers from the Friends of the Galion Public Library, Inc., will be serving water, juice, and steaming cups of hot chocolate, ensuring every visitor feels right at home.

A Delight for the Younger Guests

Downstairs, the Children’s Department will transform into a wonderland for the younger guests. The highlight will be a giant cardboard gingerbread house, ready for little hands to color and decorate. Adding to the magical ambiance, Mrs. Claus will be present, weaving tales and spreading joy among the young story enthusiasts.

Music to Warm the Heart

For those with a love for melody, the library has a special treat. Just Jazz Live, known for their modern renditions of classic jazz standards, R&B, and pop/rock hits, will be performing upstairs.
