It’s our second Christmas at 1831Galion, and this one looks a great deal different than the last.

Change is the operative word in 2023 – both for the world as a whole, and for our Ohio community in particular. As we join with our own friends and family for the holidays, we are going to step back a bit, share some favorites with our readers, and add a bit of something new. After all, who doesn’t like a present at this time of the year?

Between now and Christmas Eve on Sunday, we’re going to re-post a handful of our seasonal favorites, including:

  • Galion History Corner: Louis Bromfield and the Christmas Donkey
  • Looking Back at Come Home to Galion 2013
  • Looking Back at Come Home to Galion 2022

We’re aiming for Sunday for a special edition of Galion History Corner.

To maximize family time, we will be operating as normal through Saturday.  We will update Galion Area News from Elsewhere, but otherwise we will not be posting again until Tuesday morning, the day after Christmas.

If there is important breaking local news during that period of time, we will do our best to get online and update the site.

For the remainder of next week, we will be including a retrospective on the most-read 1831Galion stories of 2023.

In the meantime, Merry Christmas from our Galion house to yours!
