A few days back, an enterprising individual with “Evolution Ohio” posted what they described as “a short clip of Galion Ohio’s Christmas tree and lights.”

It’s a remarkably poignant and beautiful holiday tribute to Goshen/Greensburg/Hardscrabble/Hosford’s Corners/Galion.

It can be viewed at this link.

As we convey our own season’s greetings from 1831Galion, we share with you the words of another local observer, this one writing in the Bucyrus Journal on September 4, 1857:

“But I must come to an end, for the present, and say more again. And let me say to you in conclusion that if Galion is not already the best town in the county, she will be as sure when Christmas comes.”

Merry Christmas to one and to all!
