There was a double reason why Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce folks were beaming on Friday evening.

First, absolutely beautiful weather greeted those who came out to eat, listen, and play at the last of the monthly Third Friday in Galion events of the year. A strong turnout of vendors, food purveyors, non-profit organizations, and businesses were on hand to greet visitors.

There was a particularly strong turnout of young families, some with young girls wearing flowing dresses – likely on hand to greet visiting Princesses Rapunzel and Jasmine.

The second reason is that just in the nick of time, Park Square reopened for the event. Work was ongoing through the morning, but all was well when the first Galionites in many months were able to walk up to and around the Gazebo.

The opening of Park Square allowed the Chamber to move the event back to the north side of the Square and along North Market Street up to the first alley by the Galion Public Library. Vendors lined the streets and the northeast and northwest quadrants of Public Square.

1831Galion was on hand and took a few photos, including views of the newly renovated Park Square. See below.
