Attention, you Galionites who enjoy having fun in the snow.

It’s official. Opening Day for the 62nd Season for winter fun at Ohio’s premier ski resort, Snow Trails, has been set for this Friday, December 9.

The resort will be open from 10AM to 9PM that day, and the fun will continue on Saturday and Sunday with an Early Season Bonus Weekend (9AM to 9PM). Advance bookings are required (no walk-ups). Save $10 on lift tickets during this extra weekend.

Operations will then be suspended on Monday, and Snow Trails will open again on Friday, December 16 at 9AM.

Temperatures have allowed the building of a base of snow. The snowmaking crew has been hard at work adding to that base. The Snow Cats will be prepping the slopes this week to allow for skiing and snowboarding to take place.

The projected opening for Vertical Descent Tubing Park is not yet confirmed as additional snowmaking is still needed.

Peak Days will begin on Saturday, December 17 and run through Monday, January 2. Also enjoy a Kickoff Party on December 17 in the Snowflake Loft.

Be sure to check out the Snow Trails Snow Report before you go – it can be found here.
