The Galion area forecast for this week from the National Weather Service office in Cleveland is oh-so-typical for mid-February in north central Ohio.

After warming each day to a high of 66 on Wednesday, two days later the high is projected to be slightly below freezing. In terms of precipitation, the chances for rain (or something else) increase with each passing day.

Here is what’s in store:

Monday night – Mostly sunny, with a high near 50. West wind 9 to 15 mph.

Tuesday – Clear, with a low around 29. West wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south after midnight.

Tuesday night – Increasing clouds, with a high near 52. South wind 6 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Wednesday – A chance of showers, mainly before 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49. Windy, with a southeast wind 20 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Wednesday night – A chance of showers after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Thursday – Showers. High near 60. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Thursday night – Rain showers likely before 1am, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 26. Breezy. Chance of precipitation is 60%..

Friday – Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Breezy.

Friday night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 20.

Saturday – Sunny, with a high near 40.

Saturday Night – Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.
