Join Galion Schools on April 24th for an enlightening and informative evening with nationally recognized internet safety speaker, Jesse Weinberger.

This special event, taking place at the GHS cafeteria, starts with a free spaghetti dinner at 6:00 PM, followed by Jesse’s presentation in the gym at 7:00 PM. The presentation will cover various crucial topics such as:

• Value versus the risk of tech use • Parental complicity • Mental health impact • Cyberbullying, sexting, sexual predation • Popular apps explained • Extreme content and gaming • How to monitor, supervise and consequence

Due to the nature of the presentation, no children between 1-20 years old will be permitted in the gym during the presentation. However, free babysitting for children K-5 will be provided by GHS student organizations. As a bonus, students whose parent/guardian attend the presentation will receive a Jeans Pass, allowing them to wear jeans every Friday for the remainder of the school year. Additionally, door prizes will be given at the conclusion of the presentation.

Jesse Weinberger is a former software programmer, TEDx presenter, and author of “The Boogeyman Exists: And He’s in Your Child’s Back Pocket, SECOND EDITION.” With 15 years of experience presenting to parents, students, teachers, and school districts across the United States, Jesse is frequently sought out by local and national media, educators, administrators, and law enforcement for guidance on managing and improving children’s digital lives.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn from a true expert in the field. Jesse’s book will also be available for purchase at the event, with $5 from each sale being donated back to our school. Mark your calendars for an evening that could make a real difference in your child’s safety and well-being in the digital world.
