When the All-Mid Ohio Athletic Conference boys basketball squads were announced late last week, Galion High School was represented by three selections.

While no Tigers were selected for the First Team, GHS’ Cooper Kent and Elijah Chapin were chosen for Second Team honors. Kent averaged 19.3 points a game this year, with Chapin close behind at 16.9 points a night.

Galion’s Jackson Hart received Honorable Mention recognition.

These same players figured well in final MOAC regular season statistics. In scoring, Kent was 4th in the conference with a 19.3 points per game average, with Chapin in 5th place with 16.9 points.

Hart averaged 3.0 assists a game for 3rd place in the conference, and Chapin ended up 5th conference -wide in steals (he averaged 2.6 per contest).

The Tigers ended the regular season with a 9-14 overall record, and a 3-11 record in the MOAC.
