The GHS Boys Golf team had a very successful outing on Thursday as they took runner-up honors at an OHSAA Boy’s Golf Division II Sectional.

The Tigers played the Woussickett Golf Course in Sandusky. There, they joined players from the following high schools: Clear Fork, Huron, Upper, Bellevue, Sandusky Perkins, Shelby, Willard, Port Clinton, Vermilion, Clyde, Crestview, Ontario, and Edison.

First place went to the golf squad from Shelby High School, which had a score of 305. Galion’s 316 was good for second place, well ahead of third place Huron’s score of 327.

The Tigers now head to District competition next week at Eagle’s Landing, a public golf course in Oregon, Ohio.
