It’s an early launch for the gridiron Tigers this year, and it’s also one that will take place away from here.
The Tigers travel to Wynford on August 17 to take on the perennially-good Royals. Last year, however, Wynford had a bit of a rough going, finishing the season with a 2-8 record.
This is the 2023 football schedule for the Galion Tigers, each with designations for a given Friday night. Note that after the Wynford trip, the team has three consecutive home games.

10/13 – home v. River Valley – Homecoming and Alumni Band Night
10/20 – at Marion Harding
The Tigers also have two scrimmages before the regular season begins, hosting Lexington on Saturday, August 5 and traveling to Tiffin Columbian on Saturday, August 12. Ticket prices for home games this year will be $7 for adults and $5 for students.
