When you finish the season with a 20-2 record and a share of the conference title, you would expect to land a handful of positions on the all-league team.

That’s exactly what happened when the All-Mid Ohio Athlectic Conference Volleyball team was announced Friday. The GHS Tigers ended up with three out of eight first team selections. They were:

Ella Payne

Hailey Young

Madelyn Schieber

GHS also scored two players on the Second Team:

Jillian Capretta

Ashley Dyer

The Tigers, under head coach Kathleen Davis, swept the Wnyford Royals in three sets Wednesday night in the Sectional Final. They next face local foe Colonel Crawford in the District Semi-Final on October 24 at 7:30 PM.

The contest will be held at Seneca East High School.
