The three high school football teams in the 1831Galion coverage area are all undefeated after the initial week of play, however they head into second week action facing a divergent set of opponents.

Galion

The Galion Tigers will be at home this Friday night, hosting the Carey Blue Devils. The team is coming off the opening night win against Wynford 28-20, and this will be Galion’s second consecutive week against a N-10 conference opponent; this will continue next week when the Upper Sandusky Rams visit Heise Park. 

Last week, Carey fell to perennial powerhouse Hopewell-Loudon 36-18.

Colonel Crawford

The Colonel Crawford Eagles are also 1-0, having defeated River High School 21-20. On Friday, the on-the-road opponent will be Cardinal Stritch from Oregon, Ohio (near Toledo); the Cardinals destroyed St. Joseph Central Catholic last week 41-6.

Northmor

Northmor also won last week, 42-21 over Upper Sandusky. The Golden Knights will host South Central on Friday. The Trojans are coming off a shellacking by Willard in Week One, 35-6.
