The Galion Public Library is combining games, books, snacks and prizes for an evening of fun.
The familiar call of “Bingo!” will come with a literary reward when Galion Public Library hosts Bingo for Books on Monday, Aug. 24. The event will run from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, giving patrons a chance to play bingo, enjoy snacks and win books. Organizers promise that everyone will leave a winner.
A relaxed evening at the library
Participants can claim a bingo card, grab a snack and settle in for several rounds of play. The event is designed for adults ages 18 and older, although younger players may attend with an adult.
Bingo for Books adds a library twist to the classic game, replacing the usual cash prizes with something readers can take home and enjoy long after the final number is called.
A thriller and a wild adventure
This month’s special prize includes a copy of “Dear Debbie,” the latest thriller from bestselling author Freida McFadden, along with two tickets to the African Safari Wildlife Park. The tickets were donated by North Central Ohio Media Group. The special offer will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
No matter which numbers appear on their cards, participants can expect an evening built around books, conversation and a little friendly competition.
