Plant Lovers Have A November Date In Galion

If you have a plant to trade, want someone to chat plants with, and are in the market for a cup of hot chocolate, Crawford County Plant Events has you covered with a November plant swap in Galion.

The November 12 plant swap is a family friendly event from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Avita Home Health & Hospice located at 1220 N. Market Street. Beyond bringing your plant to swap, “bring, trade, swap, talk plants, make new plant friends” is all you need to do.

Any Plants

Houseplants are welcome at this plant swap. But keep in mind, when unpacking your vehicle that you can bring cuttings, succulents, starts and seeds, and plant accessories too. Trading is only one avenue to connect with others at this plant swap. Meeting others who love plants is another.

Bonus

Registered guests will receive hot chocolate. And arrive early, as the first five registrants will receive a complimentary plant. With two hours to swap plants and make new plant friends, this November event is sure to satisfy your plant appetite.

Plants That Are Easy to Pass Along

Some plants seem made for passing along. For north central Ohio plant lovers, that might include indoor examples including pothos, spider plants, and heartleaf philodendrons. Pothos and philodendrons can start from stem cuttings, while spider plants, well-known in the ara, produce little plantlets that can be rooted and grown separately. Yard and Garden

Outdoors, familiar hostas and daylilies are sharing favorites because clumps can be divided into several smaller plants. Both have also often appeared at Ohio plant swaps. A piece of a well-loved plant can become the start of someone else’s garden.
