Summer programming continues at Lowe-Volk Park with a varied lineup of family-friendly events, from close encounters with animals to archery lessons and an evening beneath the stars.
The park, operated by the Crawford Park District, is located in Leesville, about four miles north of Galion on SR 598/Portland Way North. Programs scheduled during the remainder of July offer opportunities for children, families and nature enthusiasts to explore wildlife, water, astronomy and outdoor recreation.

Animal lovers can get an up-close look at snakes, salamanders, turtles, invertebrates and more during Animal Extravaganza from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 11.

Turn Your Eyes Toward The Summer Sky
The Crawford Park Astronomy Club will host Viewing the Night Sky at 9:00 PM on Saturday, July 25.
Participants will search the summer sky for targets including nebulas, galaxies and other celestial sights. If weather or sky conditions are unfavorable, the program will move indoors to the Nature Center.
