From the Galion History Center

The holidays are the most magical time to visit Galion’s historic Brownella Cottage! The Galion History Center will be offering several holiday events throughout the month of December to give locals the chance to visit Brownella Cottage and the Galion History Museum & Gift Shop – located in the Cottage’s carriage house.

To kick off the holiday festivities, the Galion History Center will host a Holiday Open House at Brownella Cottage during the Come Home to Galion community festival from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2. This event is free of charge.

On Wednesday, December 6 and Thursday, December 7 from 5:00-7:00 PM the Cottage will be open for Brownella Lights holiday tours. Take a self-guided tour of Brownella Cottage all lit up with a tree in every room! Admission is by donation only.

On Friday, December 15 the Galion History Center will host their Brownella Cottage Holiday Cookie & Wine Pairing Tours at 5:00, 6:00, and 7:00 PM. Guests will take a self-guided tour of the Cottage and find four holiday cookie and wine pairing stations along the way featuring Cake & Icing Bakery and Fox Winery. Each visitor will leave with a commemorative Galion History Center wine glass.

Tickets for this event are $25 per person and tickets are available only through the Galion History Center website at www.galionhistory.com. Tickets for this event release on Friday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m. Don’t miss this unique holiday tour!
